Okay, Mr Turner is too handsome, but I thought this was a pretty accurate portrayal of Rossetti's nature. (Except one or two details: for example when he takes his poems from Lizzie's grave, an end I really disliked because it didn't happen like that, obviously.)

Anyway I love this blog! I'm currently doing a lot of research about Gabriel and the pre raphaelite painters because I have to publish an university article on the subject. Best regards from a french student. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1441164155286448763.post-32507936459057103522013-05-14T00:39:38.762+01:002013-05-14T00:39:38.762+01:00Excellent, a Kirsty-mini biography of Rosetti. I have the strange feeling he was never actually 'happy'. The death mask and portrait I find rather disturbing, but then modern sensibilities about death are far removed from the Victorian ideas.
Again, thank you for sharing.
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1441164155286448763.post-51981841290677219942013-05-12T11:49:43.224+01:002013-05-12T11:49:43.224+01:00I agree, shame on BBC for "Desperate Romantic...I agree, shame on BBC for "Desperate Romantics"...
